Job Summary

HSE Integrated is seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst to collaborate with our team at our head office in Calgary. This role involves ensuring that all Credit & Accounts Receivable processes are followed to mitigate credit risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand client payment processes and implement strategies to ensure prompt payment from customers.
  • Analyze and support credit approval and review processes, approving credit limits up to $5,000 and initiating limits over $5,000 as per the Director of Accounting.
  • Conduct account research and analysis to identify potential issues and develop strategies to resolve them.
  • Escalate issues to the right resources and develop action plans for implementation.
  • Assist with special projects as requested and develop relationships with key internal and external client contacts.
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing matters and coordinate with the sales or operations teams to facilitate resolution.
  • Proactively review accounts receivable aging status and follow up with customers to resolve outstanding accounts.
  • Responsible for daily cash application and reporting for period ends.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to mid-sized organization with exposure to Canada's energy sector.
  • A credit specialization (FCI or CCP) completed or in progress would be an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Positive and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for customer service.
  • Commitment to results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate/advanced experience in MS Excel.
  • Comfortable knowledge of debits and credits as it relates to the GL.
  • Ability to establish respect and rapport with team and others.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
