About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Credit and Accounts Receivable Business Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in collecting and managing receivables, credit risk, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cash Flow Management: Maximize the cash turnover of an assigned accounts receivable portfolio by following up on past due balances and transmitting invoices through EDI connectivity partners.
  2. Receivable Issues Resolution: Independently research, investigate, and resolve receivable issues, including unapplied payments, disputed transactions, and deficiencies in back-up documentation.
  3. Customer Communication: Establish and maintain high-level telephone and email communication with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to problem-solve, facilitate payment, and address credit issues.
  4. Credit Decision Making: Extend and revise credit limits for existing and new customers within assigned credit authority, making quick and decisive credit decisions within authority levels.
  5. Credit Risk Monitoring: Proactively monitor credit risk and minimize exposure to write-offs and bad debts within assigned portfolios.

What You'll Need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial credit and collections.
  • Graduate of or actively enrolled in the Credit Institute of Canada's Certified Credit Professional program would be considered an asset.
  • Little to moderate experience with EDI systems (i.e., Cortex, ARIBA, OpenInvoice).
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication via telephone and email.
  • Professional and customer-focused manner with attention to detail.
  • Results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the capacity to get things done.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
