Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 90271 Newfoundland & Labrador Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain a safe working environment.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and motivated team to deliver exceptional service.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our business decisions.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to staff to improve their performance.
- Financial Management: Administer revenues and expenditures, ensuring that we are managing our finances effectively.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Support for Youths: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
