About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our team at Community Living Port Colborne-Wainfleet. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments to facilitate effective communication
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to promote a clean and comfortable living space
  • Transport patients between care facilities to ensure safe and timely transportation
  • Report accidents, distress signals, and other emergencies to ensure prompt response and resolution
  • Attend scheduled practice and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Participate in staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate to ensure ability to respond to emergencies
  • CPR Certificate to ensure ability to provide life-saving interventions
  • Valid driver's licence to transport patients safely
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field to demonstrate skills and knowledge
