About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our team at Community Living Port Colborne-Wainfleet. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Transport patients between care facilities safely and securely.
  • Report accidents, distress signals, navigational hazards, and other emergencies promptly and accurately.
  • Attend scheduled practice and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest care techniques and protocols.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss patient care and share best practices.
Requirements
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are required.
  • Valid driver's licence is necessary for transporting patients.
  • Dental plan and Group insurance benefits are provided.
  • Life insurance and Pension plan are also offered.
  • Work Term: Permanent and Hours: 30 hours per week are standard.
