VCA Canada Northumberland Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a Veterinary Support Specialist to join our team. This role is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.
- In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated.
- Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
- Cultivating a warm, positive, compassionate atmosphere for our clients and patients.
- Managing administrative tasks, including scheduling, patient admission and discharge, and follow-up calls.
- Managing invoicing and billing, including creating estimates, obtaining client confirmation, and processing payments.
- General cleanliness maintenance in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
- Demonstrating willingness to learn about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures.
- Remaining calm and adaptable in stressful situations.
- Taking initiative and working independently.
- A Veterinary Support Specialist certificate is an asset.
- A love for all companion animals.
