Position Overview

As a Personal Support Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring comfort and care for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Engagement: Accompany patients during outdoor recreational activities to promote well-being.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and repair of medical devices to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Patient Care: Perform various duties related to the comfort and care of patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communication: Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments efficiently.
  • Room Maintenance: Make beds and maintain cleanliness in patients' rooms.
  • Transportation: Safely transport patients between care facilities as required.
  • Emergency Reporting: Report any accidents, distress signals, navigational hazards, and other emergencies promptly.
  • Training Participation: Attend scheduled practice and training sessions to enhance skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate actively in staff meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College/CEGEP is preferred.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR Certificates are required.
  • Transportation: A valid driver's license is necessary for transportation duties.

Work Schedule
