We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic individual to join our team as a Veterinary Support Specialist at VCA Canada Northumberland Animal Hospital. This role is an exceptional opportunity to provide exceptional support to our clients and their pets.
Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
Cultivate a warm and positive atmosphere for our clients and patients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Manage administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, pet patient admission and discharge, and follow-up calls.
Process invoices and billing, including creating estimates and obtaining pet owner confirmation.
Perform general cleanliness maintenance in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures.
Remain calm and adaptable in stressful situations, providing a positive and supportive environment for our clients and staff.
Take initiative and work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset.
A love for all companion animals is essential for this role.
