About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Governance Specialist to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of the enterprise 1B Mandate and Standard across Finance and Treasury Balance Sheet Management teams.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have 5+ years' experience in 1B or 2A roles in Governance, Risk and Controls. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing concise business messages, documents, creating impactful presentations, and presenting analysis to management and senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute, lead, and support initiatives to identify and assess risks and control, develop strategies to remediate gaps identified, and implement processes to effectively manage and mitigate risk
  • Drive a strong governance and internal control environment and perform effective challenge by executing on enterprise control and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with Treasury & Finance 1B Governance Risk & Control partners to identify early impact of changes to risk programs
  • Review and provide challenge on Change Risk Assessment (CRA), Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and other applicable project documents
  • Review, validate and provide reporting to Senior Management, Enterprise-wide partners, Governance Committees, and other key stakeholders as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MUST have 5+ years' experience in 1B or 2A roles in Governance, Risk and Controls
  • Organizational awareness and sensitivity
  • Proven skills in assessing and prioritizing change initiatives based on business impact, need and risk factors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing concise business messages, documents, creating impactful presentations, and presenting analysis to management and senior executives

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
