Activity Coordinator

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Shelburne Long Term Care.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing individual and group activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care and engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
- Communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices, with experience in program planning and implementation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to resident-centered care.
