About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team at Fraser Plastics Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication and maintenance team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble mechanical equipment and stationary industrial machinery, ensuring all components are properly aligned and secured.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Maintenance and Fabrication: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment, and fabricate parts as required.
  • Operational Support: Operate machining tools to fabricate parts, and install machinery and equipment.
  • Hoisting and Lifting: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy loads and machinery.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires working in a noisy environment, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in industrial mechanics and millwrighting.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in physically demanding conditions, and stand for extended periods.
