We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Relations Liaison to join our team at WRHA Corporate. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Conflict Resolution and Complaint Management: Facilitate conflict resolution and complaint management for complex and sensitive situations, ensuring that all concerns are addressed in a timely and impartial manner.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, providing support and guidance to patients and families navigating the healthcare system.
- Communication and Liaison: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
- Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for quality improvement and provide recommendations to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
- Education and Training: Participate in education and training initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in patient relations, conflict resolution, and quality improvement.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, such as health/social sciences, communications, or health information services.
- Experience: 5 years of experience working directly with patients and families, with a minimum of 3 years in a patient relations or advocacy role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Conflict resolution and mediation skills are an asset.
This is a full-time position that requires frequent travel to healthcare facilities throughout the province. A valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle are required.
