Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Disability Child Advocate Counselor to join our team at St.Amant.


The successful candidate will provide counseling services to children and families, supporting their overall well-being and promoting their rights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver counseling services to children and families in a supportive and non-judgmental environment
  • Assess the needs of clients and develop customized plans to address their concerns
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling and advocacy

Requirements



  • Masters degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or social work
  • Experience working with children and families, preferably in a counseling or advocacy setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and policies, including those related to child rights and developmental disabilities
