Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician, Family to join our team at Medicentres. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, as well as inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
  • Advise patients on health care and provide education on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support.
  • Coordinate or manage primary patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
  • Provide acute care management, including emergency response and stabilization of patients.
  • Offer counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
Requirements
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
