Occupational Therapist

About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their highest level of independence and well-being. You will collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that address a wide range of needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions to enhance occupational performance in areas such as daily living activities, work, leisure, and play.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on strategies for managing conditions and promoting recovery.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Advocate for patient needs and promote access to resources and services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of Indigenous cultures and languages.
