Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring, and contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.

About the Role

This is a full-time appointment with a mix of clinical and academic responsibilities. You will work closely with our team of clinicians, educators, and researchers to deliver high-quality patient care, develop and implement educational programs, and conduct research in cardiac intensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with complex cardiac conditions
  • Develop and implement educational programs for residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to research initiatives in cardiac intensive care, including study design, data analysis, and publication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care processes
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MD degree and certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Completion of formal training in Critical Care Medicine and certification in Critical Care Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Strong clinical, teaching, and research skills, with a track record of excellence in these areas
