We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Cardiac Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring students, and contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in the cardiac intensive care unit, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients.
- Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in the art and science of cardiac intensive care.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, including the development of new treatments and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- MD degree and certification in Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Eligibility for licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Completion of formal training in Critical Care Medicine and certification in Critical Care Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills, with experience in education and research.
