Job Description:

We are looking for a talented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing building layouts in accordance with local building codes using precision measuring tools;
  • Cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials;
  • Creating tenders and quotations for clients;
  • Constructing foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems;
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware;
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on-site;
  • Conducting site surveys and ensuring accurate building levels;
  • Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers on the job site;
  • Estimating costs and materials required for each project;
  • Operating computer-aided design (CADD) software and other digital tools;
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial properties;

Your ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. You must also be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks; and
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
