Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Studio East. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff to enhance menu offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Train cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets, to meet customer expectations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for customers with food allergies or intolerances to ensure their safety and satisfaction.
  • Recruit and hire staff to maintain a skilled and motivated kitchen team.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
