About the Opportunity

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical devices. This involves following established protocols and procedures to sanitize and reprocess medical equipment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, rotating through various areas of the decontamination process, including cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing medical devices to internal and external partners.

About You

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of medical device reprocessing principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as successful completion of a recognized medical device reprocessing education program. Certification as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will have experience working with medical devices, instrumentation, and infection control practices. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Sanitize and reprocess medical devices to ensure cleanliness and sterility
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for decontamination and sterilization
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, rotating through various areas of the decontamination process
  • Distribute medical devices to internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective decontamination processes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a recognized medical device reprocessing education program
  • Certification as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (preferred)
  • Experience working with medical devices, instrumentation, and infection control practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
