Job Description for Executive Chef at Château de Mercuès

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Château de Mercuès. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the production and execution of all menus offered by our luxury boutique property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Monitor inventory and manage kitchen supplies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events and banquets
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant
  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing kitchen team
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
