Job Title: Fine Wine Sales Professional

Arterra Wines Canada is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fine Wine Sales Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prestige accounts, developing and maintaining strong relationships with top-tier restaurants and buyers, and driving sales growth through effective account management and sales execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a set of prestige accounts, including fine dining restaurants, private clubs, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including wine directors, sommeliers, and buyers.
  • Drive sales growth through effective account management, sales execution, and brand building initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging extensive selling and customer relationship skills, strong product knowledge, and account management principles.
  • Manage customer goals, ensuring both volume and net profit goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Ensure best-in-class consumer experiences at point of sale, leveraging wine list features, events, and staff training.
  • Effectively present and promote brands through trade and consumer events, wine dinners, winemaker visits, and tastings.
  • Manage allocations by account to ensure best use of scarce wines for optimum benefit to profit and brand equity.
  • Report monthly business results to the National Sales Manager and proactively react to customer shortfalls/opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in fine wine account management
  • WSET 3 (or equivalent Sommelier designation)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, driven, and disciplined
  • Proof of valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds
