About the Role:

Arterra Wines Canada is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing our premium wine portfolio in the Lower Mainland territory, which includes New Westminster, Burnaby, Tri-Cities, and Maple Ridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase volume, sales revenue, and market share in the territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at government liquor stores, independent retailers, grocery stores, and on-premise accounts.
  • Utilize our selling methodology to grow sales and expand our premium wine portfolio.
  • Ensure annual sales volume, revenue, and margin contribution meet planned levels.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to increase account share and secure distribution at new and developmental accounts.
  • Manage and control promotional budgets at both account and territory levels.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cooperative and positive business development and growth.
  • Identify and create value-added initiatives and programs with accounts, including tastings, incentives, display programs, education programs, and events.

Requirements:

  • University degree or comparable in business, sales, and/or marketing.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Strong wine product knowledge and understanding of the BC beverage alcohol industry.
  • Account/territory management experience and proven experience or certification in sales and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, driven, and disciplined.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to create and modify PowerPoint presentations, Word and Excel documents, and effectively utilize web-based tools and resources.
  • Proof of valid driver's license.
  • Genuine interest and passion for the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and as required.
  • Must reside within or in close proximity to the general area of the sales territory.
  • Must be able to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds.
