About the Role:
At 5 Spice Dining, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring that every meal meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, ensuring they meet our quality and presentation standards.
- Supervise and train cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our standards.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, arranging for equipment purchases and repairs as needed.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions, ensuring that every event meets their expectations.
- Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they meet our standards.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on presentation and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and initiative, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
