Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a Healthcare Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents and patients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and patients.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care).
- 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
- Knowledge of confidentiality and privacy requirements, as well as workplace safety and violence prevention.
