Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Freelance Site Manager to oversee the construction of a steel frame shed project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project leadership, steel frame expertise, and health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Assume overall responsibility for the project, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  2. Steel Frame Expertise: Oversee the installation of the steel frame structure, including foundation work, steel erection, and cladding.
  3. Health and Safety: Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  4. Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship to ensure top-notch quality throughout the project.
  5. Supply Chain Coordination: Implement effective supply chain strategies and manage deliveries to meet project requirements.
  6. Team Management: Lead and motivate the site team, including subcontractors and skilled tradespeople, to achieve project goals.
  7. Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Site Manager, specifically with industrial steel frame projects.
  2. Certifications: Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) certifications are essential.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with steel frame construction techniques and best practices.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  5. Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges proactively and find practical solutions to ensure project success.
  6. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management capabilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
