Our client is a reputable General Contractor specializing in ICI and Residential projects, committed to delivering a diverse range of construction services across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario. With a focus on both new builds and renovations, they are known for their dedication to quality, timeliness, and budget adherence. As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a skilled Site Superintendent to enhance their team.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations for a new construction project, which may include commercial, industrial, or mid-rise residential developments.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, while coordinating daily activities on site.
- Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules that align with the overall project timeline.
- Engage professionally with project owners, internal management, and all relevant stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support project success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience with General Contractor or Construction Management firms in the Toronto area, specifically with hands-on project oversight in commercial/light industrial and mid-rise residential sectors.
- A proven history of successfully delivering projects valued between $20M and $40M within budget and on schedule.
- Relevant educational credentials, such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in construction management software tools, including Procore and MS Project/Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and management capabilities.
- A client-focused approach to service delivery.
