Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Superintendent to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and site management of ground up new build projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Oversee the management of the construction site, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a high level of health and safety on the job site, ensuring that all employees and subcontractors are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, ensuring that they are aware of and comply with project requirements.
  • Progress Scheduling: Create and update progress schedules to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular job reports for project meetings, providing updates on progress and any issues that may have arisen.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the project, including owners, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of construction experience, mainly with ICI/residential GC/CM firms in the GTA.
  • Project Experience: Has overseen both commercial/industrial and mid-rise residential new build projects ranging up to $40M.
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma in a construction-related discipline, such as civil engineering.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, communication, and management skills. Knowledge of Procore (Asset) and different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines. Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code.
