Job Overview

As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of all activities on the assigned construction site, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, equipment management, and milestone tracking.
  2. Site Coordination: Oversee all on-site activities to ensure seamless execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities, aligning with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers, local organizations, and stakeholders to ensure their active support of field activities.
  4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Develop and maintain a comprehensive HSE plan, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  5. Material Management: Ensure accurate handling, storage, and installation of delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics.
  6. Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractors on-site to ensure quality and progress meet delivery dates and agreed standards.
  7. Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs for site work, tracking actual spend against forecasts.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, as necessary.
  9. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 12+ years' experience as a Site Manager on construction projects with a medium level of complexity.
  2. Electrician background or equivalent qualification.
  3. Demonstrable understanding of Terms and Conditions typically used on Construction type Contracts.
  4. Willingness to relocate worldwide for the duration of the project.
  5. Experience in Civil Works, Installation, and/or Commissioning activities.
  6. Recognized Health, Environment, and Safety certifications and training (OSHA, IOSH, or NEBOSH preferred).
  7. Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  8. Fluent in English.
