Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Head and Neck Surgeon to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced surgeon to make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of our community.

About the Role

This full-time position is located primarily at Health Science Centre and CancerCare Manitoba, with secondary responsibilities at other sites within the Region including St. Boniface General Hospital and Victoria General Hospital.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive Otolaryngology care to a population base of over 1 million people.

Key Responsibilities

The Head and Neck Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgery on conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat. They will also order lab tests and x-rays as needed.

In addition to their clinical duties, the successful candidate will be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which encompasses 40% of the position.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and/or General Surgery. Applicants will have fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology (or equivalent).

A commitment to education, research, and/or other academic pursuits is required.

Benefits

The University of Manitoba offers a competitive salary range of $400,000 - $600,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include pension, life insurance, disability, dental coverage, supplementary health coverage, and a healthcare spending account.
