Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our Radiation Oncology department. This role offers a fulfilling career in a well-respected organization committed to employee well-being and professional development.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Radiation Oncology department, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care. As a member of our leadership team, you will contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise to enhance radiation oncology services, ensuring alignment with national standards and wait times.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence, promoting research and innovation within the department.
- Oversee clinical operations, including patient consultations (approximately 4,500 annually), linear accelerator management, and CT simulator usage.
- Collaborate with Shared Health Manitoba and the University of Manitoba to advance cancer care initiatives.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in radiation oncology or a related field.
- A strong academic background, preferably with a senior academic appointment (Associate Professor or higher).
- Certification in Radiation Oncology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Research acumen and administrative experience.
Salary and Benefits
This is a competitive position offering a salary range of approximately $300,000 - $400,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth.
