Indigenous Health Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Indigenous Health Operations Manager to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As an operations lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient functioning of the Indigenous Health Program. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating interprofessional service delivery to women, children, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an interdisciplinary team of Indigenous staff, setting goals and objectives, and managing performance outcomes.
- Provide input to the Director in developing an effective workforce plan, making adjustments as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Collaborate in program planning processes, including the development and implementation of innovative approaches for delivering high-quality services.
- Administer the department operating budget, monitoring expenditure and taking corrective action as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a relevant clinical discipline, plus a minimum of five years of recent related experience working with Indigenous communities in a hospital or public health care environment.
- Established knowledge and network of Indigenous communities, services, and agencies throughout BC.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of Indigenous-centered care.
- Strong operational management skills and demonstrated understanding or experience with operational planning and program management.
- Critical thinking skills and proven ability to effectively manage human and fiscal resources.
- Proven leadership ability, with communication, interpersonal skills, and an Indigenous cultural lens conducive to interacting in an inter-disciplinary environment.
As a member of our team, you can expect:
- An estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
