About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at EMCO Westlund. As a key member of our sales support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Sales Support: Work in a team environment to provide sales support to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Customer Service: Provide the highest level of customer service with hard work, integrity, and accuracy towards the goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Product Research: Research products for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of products.
  • Sales Order Entry: Enter sales orders generated from Profit Centre customers via phone, emails, and texts.
  • Customer Retention: Grow and retain established customer base and develop new business for the Profit Centre.
  • Order Fulfillment: Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide customers accurate delivery dates.
  • Return and Warranty Processing: Process returns and warranty claims to customers both on account and cash sales including paperwork in compliance with all procedures.
  • Team Support: Support the Inside sales and business activities as part of the team.
  • Warehouse Support: Support the warehouse in picking orders, drive forklift.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience with customer service or counter sales.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software to communicate via email, analyze customer data and update customer contact files. Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills. Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates. Ability to identify customer needs, provide profitable solutions and close the sale. Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks. Intermediate math skills. Able to learn how to operate material handling equipment.
Preferred Skills
  • Product Knowledge: Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold by Westlund.
  • Software Skills: Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook and Infor M3.
