About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, and provide technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with Essential Wins, Director of Technical Services and Elanco Canada’s policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Monitor team performance, support development, and provide feedback to position the FA technical team as best-in-class in the industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, and stay current with the latest industry and veterinary trends.
  • Technical Customer Support: Support external customers, handle technical inquiries on products necessitating veterinary expertise.
  • Resource Management: Liaise and work with the marketing team to ensure the TC team remains prioritized in their support and execution of marketing projects and activities.
  • Training and Development: Direct and support the creation of cohesive onboarding and ongoing training plans for ruminant and monogastric sales teams.
  • Communication: Act as a core member of the marketing, commercial, and technical trilogy for brand and account planning, and interact with internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Veterinary degree or Nutritional PhD, and practicing veterinarian license within one of the Canadian provinces is required for Veterinary Technical Consultant.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience in a management/leadership position and/or practice owner, with a high degree of customer focus.
  • Skills: Strong and effective communication and interpersonal abilities, proficient presentation skills, and excellent English (both passive and active) with computer literacy on MS Office, MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
