We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.
Job Summary:The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Recruit and hire staff
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety
This role will be based in a restaurant setting in an urban area.

Hours:40 hours per week
