Job Title: Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as preparing and cooking special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Culinary Arts diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Working Conditions:

The Culinary Specialist will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high level of activity. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to stand for extended periods.
