About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a new team that works with stakeholders to support specialized sourcing requirements for specific NSH programs and categories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and managing complex projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

About You

  • You have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, including contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement process improvement.
  • You have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • You have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • You have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices, including inventory management, logistics, and transportation.
  • You have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have a strong understanding of IT-driven supply chain management systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business, science, or engineering.
  • Recognized Professional Supply Chain Designation (SCMP) is an asset.
  • Public Sector Procurement Program (PSPP) from the Procurement School is an asset.
  • Project Management certification is an asset.
  • Masters Degree in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience with directing and overseeing the supply chain activities of an organization.
