About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a new team that works with stakeholders to support specialized sourcing requirements for specific NSH programs and categories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and managing complex projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

About You

  • You have an undergraduate degree in business, science, or engineering, and a recognized professional supply chain designation (SCMP) is an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of management experience, with a strong background in directing and overseeing the supply chain activities of an organization.
  • You possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve results.
  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You have a solid understanding of supply chain processes and key performance indicators, and are able to analyze data to inform procurement decisions.
  • You have experience with IT-driven supply chain systems and are able to leverage technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
