Overview

Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Restaurants Canada to find a Senior Business Development Director to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. This role will play a pivotal part in identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and creating strategies to increase revenue and market share.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, a comprehensive understanding of the business development landscape, and the ability to generate innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer to create and manage an overall strategy and sales plan to drive revenue across the show floor, events, media, partnerships, membership, and sponsorship.
  • Develop and execute the business development plan to generate incremental revenue.
  • Formulate the business development strategy, aligning it with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Coordinate with the external sponsorship team to develop an overall strategy to meet revenue goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand the company's strengths and value proposition to develop sales strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Consistently track and provide periodic updates on the progress of business development initiatives against the set strategic objectives.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements related to the marketing of products and services.
Your Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional relationship building and collaboration skills.
Salary Range:

We are offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
