Supply Chain Optimization Manager

The Supply Chain Optimization Manager is a key role within Novocol Pharmaceutical of Canada Inc., reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director. This position plays a vital part in driving supply chain responsiveness and optimization, acting as an advocate and enabler for supply chain resourcing, efficiency, and larger enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities:- Represent supply chain as the subject matter expert for internal projects, focusing on initiatives that drive supply chain data literacy and analysis.
- Support the planning and execution of the overall supply chain strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Develop business-relevant metrics, reporting, and analytics strategies to contribute to recommendations on supply planning optimization.
- Prepare models to support the annual budgeting process, aid in new process design, or improve upon existing models and tools.
- Identify key risks to future supply chain needs and propose necessary changes to address them.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Create compelling, data-driven presentations to showcase identified opportunities and gain alignment from senior-level management.
- Maintain the departmental dashboard, gaining insights from data, performing gap analyses, and proposing solutions for continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A university degree in a related field, including commerce, business administration, supply chain, or engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in procurement and supply chain management roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading supply chain or continuous improvement projects or initiatives.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, beverage, consumer product, or food packaging environment is considered an asset.
