About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at LPT Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and setting tiles to create beautiful and functional spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tiles
  • Mix and apply adhesives using hand trowels
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
Work Environment

As a Tile Setter, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and overtime required. You will be physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and working in dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat are required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a team
