Tile Setter

Bridgewater Tile Ltd is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various settings, including residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cleaning.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong and durable bond.
- Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power equipment to achieve precise cuts and alignments.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, using hand and power cutting tools.
- Pack and remove excess grout to create a smooth finish.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative designs and patterns.
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles.
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
- Install tile strips to complete the installation.
The work environment will be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in dusty and noisy conditions.
Requirements:- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail.
- A permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
- English as the primary work language.
