About the Role

Saltworks Technologies, a global leader in advanced industrial wastewater treatment and lithium refining, is seeking a highly skilled Chemist/Chemical Engineer to join our Business Development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Customer Solutions: Collaborate with customers to understand their problem statements and gather critical information to enable the development of effective solutions.
  • Process Development and Optimization: Work with our internal team to develop creative and differentiated process options and present cost-optimized solutions to customers.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Focus on delivering exceptional customer service through responsiveness, thoroughness, and quality outputs.
  • Proposal Development and Project Management: Draft proposals, develop project plans, secure customer feedback, and work with customers to achieve solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Establish meaningful long-term relationships with customers based on technical trust.
  • Representation and Communication: Represent Saltworks Technologies through in-person customer meetings and at conferences and exhibitions.
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering or Science Background: Strong core knowledge of chemistry and relevant engineering or science background.
  • Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Interest in helping customers solve complex problems through the use of science and technology while collaborating with experts.
  • Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Strong math skills and self-checks for accuracy.
  • Communication and Writing Skills: Excellent English verbal communication and strong English writing skills to concisely summarize key messages.
  • Economic Assessments and Process Modeling: Experience with economic assessments and building process or cost models using Excel.
  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain high quality of work, and quickly learn new skills.
  • Research and Development: Research skills to identify new customer opportunities and market segments.
  • Interpersonal and Travel Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to travel, and enjoy connecting with customers and networking at industry functions.
