abm's international headquarters is located in Canada, in the beautiful and vibrant west coast city of Vancouver. With a total of 27,000 sq. ft. of wet lab and office space, our facility accommodates a cutting-edge R&D center and abm's global logistics center. In addition to our Vancouver site, we have subsidiaries in China, USA, and France.
About the role
As we are continuing to grow our business locally and globally, we are looking for an experienced and high performing business development manager who will lead the BioPharma/CRO business development functions and drive sales for the company to next level. The Global BD Manager of BioPharma/CRO Business Development will oversee and manage all sales operations for abm and support business development activities within this client segment.
Key duties of the role involve:
- Designing specific and actionable plans to meet company growth targets in the BioPharma/CRO client segment
- Developing relationships with existing and potential clients/customers
- Identifying and understanding customer needs and market trends
- Owning and hitting/exceeding sales targets for the client segment
Qualifications
- A self-motivated, professional and business-minded natural salesperson
- At least with a Masters or Ph.D degree in biological sciences, additional MBA degree a plus
- At least 5+ years of experience associated with BioPharma/CRO business
- Strong leadership skills and extensive network capability within biotech industry, specifically with bio-pharmaceutical companies
- Experienced in prospecting and developing new business accounts and relationships
- An excellent negotiator and communicator with outstanding active listening skills
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the BioPharma/CRO segment of business globally
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Developing key sales strategies, tactics and plans
- Effectively communicating value propositions to prospective clients through proposals and presentations
