The successful candidate will support the SDS authoring management system and contribute to the overall success of our HSE program. This role will involve working with a team of HSE professionals to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Review and author SDS for chemicals manufactured by CES and its divisions.
- Assist in the maintenance of the online SDS management system.
- Regulatory product label management and compliance.
- Visit, inspect, and audit workplaces and staff.
- Coordinate between facilities and HSE Corporate Services Team.
- Provide safety support for Canadian employees.
- Perform other duties as instructed by Regulatory and HSE management.
- 3-5 years relevant HSE or related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in a science discipline.
- Valid class 5 driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Experience with SDS authoring.
- Knowledge in product safety and chemical hazard communication.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, industry standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) that allow effective communication at all levels of the company.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High personal ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in oil and gas is preferred.
- This position is based in the corporate office in Calgary.
- Regular travel (up to 25%) should be expected with periods of more intense travel.
- Fieldwork will require outdoor work in a variety of conditions.
- Company truck will be provided.
