The successful candidate will support the SDS authoring management system and contribute to the overall success of our HSE program. This role will involve working with a team of HSE professionals to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and author SDS for chemicals manufactured by CES and its divisions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the online SDS management system.
  • Regulatory product label management and compliance.
  • Visit, inspect, and audit workplaces and staff.
  • Coordinate between facilities and HSE Corporate Services Team.
  • Provide safety support for Canadian employees.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by Regulatory and HSE management.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years relevant HSE or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in a science discipline.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SDS authoring.
  • Knowledge in product safety and chemical hazard communication.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) that allow effective communication at all levels of the company.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • High personal ethics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in oil and gas is preferred.
Work Conditions
  • This position is based in the corporate office in Calgary.
  • Regular travel (up to 25%) should be expected with periods of more intense travel.
  • Fieldwork will require outdoor work in a variety of conditions.
  • Company truck will be provided.
