Job Title: Biological Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biological Scientist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing research projects, supervising laboratory technical personnel, and contributing to the development of new research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage research projects, including experimental design, data analysis, and publication of results.
  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, including biological technologists and technicians, and other scientists.
  • Contribute to the development of new research initiatives, including proposal writing and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to advance the goals of the research program.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research data.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as immunology, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a research setting, including experience in experimental design, data analysis, and publication of results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor research staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
