Job Title: Biological Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biological Scientist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing laboratory operations, supervising technical personnel, and conducting research in the fields of immunology and neuroscience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
  • Conduct research in the fields of immunology and neuroscience, including experimental design, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement research plans, protocols, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance our understanding of immunology and neuroscience.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed.
  • Develop and implement training programs for laboratory personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., immunology, neuroscience, biology).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a research laboratory setting.
  • Proven track record of research productivity and publication.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
