Job Title: Biological Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biological Scientist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing research projects, supervising laboratory technical personnel, and contributing to the development of new research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage research projects, including experimental design, data analysis, and publication of results.
  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, including biological technologists and technicians, and other scientists.
  • Contribute to the development of new research initiatives, including proposal writing and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance our understanding of biological systems and develop new treatments for diseases.
  • Develop and implement new research methods and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our research.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior researchers and students.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of biological sciences and apply this knowledge to our research.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a research laboratory setting.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing research projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
