Medical Devices Reprocessing Specialist

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of medical equipment and instruments.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment by adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices and guidelines in sterilization and decontamination.
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent.
- Two years of experience working with complex surgical instruments.
- Experience with low-temperature sterilization.
- Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Two years of experience in a Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) or Sterile Processing Department (SPD).
