Job Summary

The Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal departments. This role involves supervising and developing human resources, developing and maintaining inter-department linkages, and performing administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the delivery of quality service for the processing of equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise and develop human resources to ensure effective team performance.
  • Develop and maintain inter-department linkages to promote collaboration and communication.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, including quality assurance and control.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and established procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Sterile Supply Processing Certificate from a recognized community college or university.
  • Five (5) years of recent working experience in a MDR department.
  • Two (2) years Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of instrument tracking systems and operating room instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of current legislation, regulations, and procedures for sterilizing of hospital equipment and related infection control issues.
  • Well-developed team-building, conflict management, and consensus-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and to motivate others.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in a diverse/corporate environment.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong Computer skills in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an advanced level in addition to financial reporting.
